When it comes to the skin, spinach contains the ONE thing that is huge on beauty shelves recently and that is vitamin A, also known as retinol. Spinach is also a source of vitamin C, E, lutein and other micronutrients. It is particularly great for dry skin. Vitamin A helps your skin appear younger, healthier, and more hydrated. Vitamin C is an antioxidant and brightens the appearance of your skin. Vitamin K works to heal scars and dark spots.

The vitamin A In rhubarb may also help to fight free radicals that cause skin damage and premature aging, keeping your skin looking healthy and youthful. Rhubarb boasts plenty of antioxidant compounds including Vitamin C, beta-carotene, phenolic acid, anthocyanins, and more. In fact, rhubarb has been proven to pack an even greater antioxidant punch than kale! Not only is rhubarb antioxidant-rich, but it is also an Astringent, Anti-Bacterial, and Anti-Inflammatory.

Tallow contains Vitamins A, D, K, E, & B12, conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) with natural anti-inflammatory properties, oleic acid (omega 9), palmitic acid, and stearic acid, which has beneficial healing and soothing properties.

I use tallow in this soap because the fat is as close to the fat in our human skin as you can possibly get. This makes it often a suitable moisturizer for individuals who have sensitivities to commercial products. The cows are ethically farmed and live a stress-free life and graze on multiple varieties of grass and green forage. I am re-purposing an animal by-product and turning it into a skin-loving nourishing soap that is absolutely good for you but would otherwise be discarded.

How to use: lather in shower or bath and rinse
